South Carolina’s Republican Assembly recognizes that Jefferson was correct when he admonished Americans that they must be “eternally vigilant” to keep the blood-bought freedoms that his generation won for us.
Therefore the mission of the SCRA is simple but critical: we are determined to be eternally vigilant watchdogs over the leadership and actions of the South Carolina Republican Party. In doing so, we strive to ensure that legislation enacted by our General Assembly supports life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by protecting all South Carolinians natural rights of private property, free speech and press, free exercise of religion, and the ability and right of individuals to defend all of these with fair and impartial courts and a well-armed militia.
To make these changes in the culture of politics and the Republican Party, we endeavor to educate and motive “We the People”, grassroots citizens, to participate in our Republic’s governance. We endeavor to recognize and support those Republicans who adhere to the tenets of the Constitution and to the lofty and critical goals of our Party’s platform. We endeavor to expose and oppose those who are in opposition to those goals and the rights of our citizens.
The SCRA is a chartered affiliate of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies.
